Territ'Eau brings together tools on the management of the agricultural space, i.e. space of production (fields and agricultural practices) and the interstitial space not cultivated (hedges, slopes, ditches, wetlands, river banks,...). It applies to territories of average size of 10 to 50 km2 where the quality of surface waters is an issue. Its scope is the collective management of a territory (commune, Union of water, etc.). It aims at helping agricultural and rural development agents, groups of farmers, local and regional authorities to develop an action plan to improve the quality of the water. Territ'Eau was built together between research and agricultural stakeholders to promote ownership and ensure the scientific bases. The tools developed include: 1) a technical repository on modes of transfer of water and pollutants in a basin watershed and the functional role of elements of the landscape; educational materials are produced in the form of digital animations, photos, quizz; (2) diagnostic tools based on independent modules that address the elements of the landscape and various pollutants: nitrogen, pesticides, phosphorus, dissolved organic matter and fecal bacteria. These methods of diagnosis can make it possible to test the effect of scenarios of evolution of a territory, and thus lead to the development of action plans. The approach has been implemented on eight sites in Brittany, Pays-de-la-Loire and Lorraine to improve it and have examples which could be used for training. A digital teaching module was created recently to facilitate the dissemination of the tools developed.
