Abstract

DEAUMIN’EAU is a multicriteria database concerning water catchment areas. It includes information about organizational and administrative aspects, about land use and agricultural characteristics, and about actions that are conducted on these territories. This database was conceived for and with the stakeholders involved in the water catchment areas of the Rhin-Meuse basin (France). Using the crossing of existing bases with GIS tools and forms filled by various stakeholders, DEAUMIN’EAU allows to inform the catchment areas; it also lets put in relation territories with determined criteria. The complete project was driven in order to allow a regular updating of the database and its appropriation by the users. It constitutes therefore a dynamic tool.
