One of the most important tasks of the academic libraries is to provide researches with the most recent information in the area of their specialization. The most contemporary developments in academic libraries connected to the management, preservation and dissemination of information are associated with a high level of computer technology. Creation of the university repository is one of the most significant tasks in the development of academic libraries, which allows store massive amount of information in a small space and preserve it for the long term. In addition, the online repository allows the academic library to make scientific publications developed in higher education institution available to the public, which in turn increases their citation index, and also allows the wider international academic community to access such publication. At the same university repository provides better visibility for the university worldwide and increases its QS rating score.
