The book fund of the Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan keeps the personal book fund of academician Sergei Fedorovich Oldenburg, which contains more than 5.5 thousand items on a wide range of problems in the humanities. This article provides a brief description of the life and scientific activities of the scientist. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the specifics of the materials of the fund.
