This article presents information about the history of the formation of a collection of handwritten and lithographic books, documents collected over the hundred-year history of the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve. The main attention is paid to the collection of exhibits collected by the scientific staff of the museum (as a result of scientific collections and expeditions) and their transfer to the museum fund. Aspects related to the history of the museum’s receipt of unique manuscripts will be described, as well as some of them are described separately. An opinion will also be expressed about a new exhibition organized in the museum in honour of the anniversary.
