Abstract

Thrypticomyia Skuse, 1890 is a limoniid genus with 38 known species and subspecies from the Australasian, Oriental, Afrotropic and Palaearctic Regions, of which two are recorded in Chinese Mainland. A Thrypticomyia species from Sichuan, China, T. sichuanensis sp. nov., is described and illustrated as new to science. The genus Thrypticomyia is recorded from Sichuan for the first time.
