Permotermopsis gallica sp. nov., first described representative of its genus outside of the Russian Federation, is described from the Kungurian of the Lodève Formation (Southern France). It appears that the margin of Permian supercontinent of Pangea, along the Tethys Ocean, had a relatively humid climate compared to that of the outback of the continent, allowing the presence of a rich and diverse entomofauna. The limits of many fossil families currently in the order ‘Grylloblattodea’ are quite uncertain and inadequately defined. A complete re-evaluation of the phylogeny of these taxa is necessary. We propose to remove the genus name Idelia Zalessky, 1929 from synonymy with Stenaropodites Martynov, 1928 and we restore the combination Idelia permiankovi Zalessky, 1929. We restrict the genus Stenaropodites to the sole species Stenaropodites reticulata Martynov, 1928. We provisionally attribute the three other species Stenaropodites sojanensis Storozhenko, 1992, S. mistshenkoi Storozhenko, 1992 and S. magna Storozhenko, 1992 to the genus Idelia as new combinations.
