Abstract

As part of the new European regulations on the Common Agricultural Policy adopted at the end of 2021, France has implemented National Strategic Plan for agriculture which came into force at the beginning of 2023. Here We present here the new features as well as its ambitions and limits. A number of the plan's limitations are highlighted, in particular its ability to respond to climate and environmental challenges, and the perverse effects of the measures adopted.
