The article analyzes in detail the activities of the United Nations Committee against Torture, its organization, stages of development, and mechanisms of its activity. Established under the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, this committee plays a crucial role in the global fight against torture. In the article, the conceptual foundations of the establishment of the UN Committee against Torture, the specific mechanisms of its activity, including the submission of reports by the member states to the committee, and the procedures for filing individual complaints, are thoroughly researched.
