This article presents a sociological research analysis on the culture of using the Internet and social networks among students studying in higher education institutions. In addition, foreign experiences in the provision of Internet and digital technologies services, scientific interpretations given by scientists, development issues of electronic convergence through the exchange of Internet, audio and video data, effective use of websites of foreign scientific and educational online information resources in the development of modern education are highlighted.
