In 2020, the 100th anniversary of the organization of the Tashkent Medical Institute was celebrated. The library (information resource center) was also organized in 2020 from a small collection of educational literature collected by students and teachers of the Institute. The article examines the path and the main stages of development that the library went through together with the institute. The modern possibilities of providing educational, scientific and educational literature, the use of foreign databases in the development of science, clinical practice and the educational process are considered. The specialists of the IRC who have contributed and continue to improve the activities of the center are also noted. The main achievements of one of the oldest medical university libraries of the Republic of Uzbekistan today are shown.
