In Organic Farming, according to the European legislation, every single detection of pesticide residuemust be notified to the certification body in charge of the product. It gives rise to an investigation to decide on the compliance or non-compliance of the product with the rules of production (and processing) of Organic Farming. Programs of data pooling analysis exist for conventional products, but they do not take into account the specific problems of organic products: the thresholds used are often the MRLs (maximum residue limits) that consumers do not find enough restrictive for organic products; Analyses are often carried out on the place of distribution, which do not allow to assess the contamination field by the processing drifts.... This is why organic actors wished for a tool to understand and manage the contamination in organic food chain. The Securbio program meets this objective by developing actions on critical points: pooled database of organic operators’ analyses, elaboration of good practice sheets (general, storage, wine industry); risk assessment grids from production to distribution, setting up training. Given the interest of the project, Securbio is managed by professionals that will continue to supply the base and exploit results.
