This article analyzes the problem of child trafficking through the lens of international human rights law and examines Uzbekistan’s legal and institutional responses to this crime. Drawing on international instruments such as the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Palermo Protocol, the article assesses the country's compliance with global standards. It discusses key challenges in enforcement, legal gaps, and socio-economic drivers contributing to trafficking. The study concludes that while Uzbekistan has made considerable progress in aligning its domestic legislation with international obligations, further reforms and sustained implementation efforts are necessary to effectively combat child trafficking.
