Abstract

VEGEPACK® project‘s objective was to develop a new biobased and biodegradable rigid material to mold trays with good barrier properties for food conservation (meat and cheese). Three axes have been explored: a simple material tray, a tray with a film inside and a tray with a sol-gel coating. Finally, the simple material tray has been chosen and an adapted tray has been developed
