Abstract

Commercial practice short food supply chain is booming and involves profound changes in the practice of the farming profession for those who implement them. It is not so much the development of new skills that would be superimposed on existing ones, but rather an evolution of the trade. The Mecico project was led to understand these developments affecting different agricultural actors linked to short supply chain through the analysis of significant professional situations concerning these supply chains and questioning accompaniment by the facilitators of development associations. This resulted in the production of methodological tools and educational resources to accompany the professionalization of farmers and other stakeholders. Nineteen partners from the agricultural development networks, agricultural schools and researchers were involved in this work between 2010 and 2013
