In this article, the author dwells at the work on the organization of an electronic archive, problems and plans for the future done in Uzbekistan. As a result of research, the author reflected his scientific approach. Important regulatory documents available for the introduction of electronic archives in Uzbekistan over the years of independence and adopted in this regard are analyzed. When studying the issue of creating electronic archives, the author took into account the existing material, technical and personnel capabilities of archives. The article indicates that the organization of electronic archives will create modern opportunities for the collection, accounting, storage and use of archival documents.
