Despite disregard for patriotic themes among poets born between 1970’s and 1980’s, exceptional cases analyzed in this article provide a glimpse of new perspectives on exploring the patriotic poetry in Mexican literature. This could show that patriotic contemporary Mexican poetry, far from being lost as subgenre, is immersed in a process of profound transformation.
