Abstract

The isotriplet \ensuremathΣc(2800) baryon with possible quantum numbers JP=(1)/(2)^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi or (3)/(2)^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi is considered as a hadronic molecule composed of a nucleon and a D meson. We determine the strong two-body decay widths \ensuremathΣc\ensuremath→\ensuremathΛc\ensuremathπ which are shown to be consistent with current data for the JP=(1)/(2)+ and JP=(3)/(2)^\ensuremath- assignments.
