Abstract

We study the decays B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D*0\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath- and B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D*0K^\ensuremath-, where the D*0 decays into D0\ensuremathπ0, with the D0 reconstructed in the CP-even (CP+) eigenstates K^\ensuremath-K+ and \ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+ and in the (non-CP) channels K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+, K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-, and K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ0. Using a sample of about 123\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi106 BB pairs, we measure the ratios of decay rates R_non\ensuremath-CP*\ensuremath≡\fracB(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D_non\ensuremath-CP*0K^\ensuremath-)B(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D_non\ensuremath-CP*0\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-)=0.0813\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.0040(stat)_\ensuremath-0.0031+0.0042(syst), and provide the first measurements of RCP+*\ensuremath≡\fracB(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→DCP+*0K^\ensuremath-)B(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→DCP+*0\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-)=0.086\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.021(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.007(syst), and of the CP asymmetry ACP+*\ensuremath≡\fracB(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→DCP+*0K^\ensuremath-)\ensuremath-B(B+\ensuremath→DCP+*0K+)B(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→DCP+*0K^\ensuremath-)+B(B+\ensuremath→DCP+*0K+)=\ensuremath-0.10\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.23(stat)_\ensuremath-0.04+0.03(syst).
