Abstract

We present a measurement of the branching fraction for the decay B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D0K^*\ensuremath- using a sample of approximately 86\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi106 BB pairs collected by the BABAR detector from e+e^\ensuremath- collisions near the \ensuremathΥ(4S) resonance. The D0 is detected through its decays to K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+, K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ0, and K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+, and the K^*\ensuremath- through its decay to KS0\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-. We measure the branching fraction to be B(B^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D0K^*\ensuremath-)=[6.3\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.7(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.5(syst)]\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-4.
