We report the results of a search for the decay B0\ensuremath→e+e^\ensuremath-, \ensuremathμ+\ensuremathμ^\ensuremath- and e^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathμ^\ensuremath∓ based on an analysis of 78fb^\ensuremath-1 of data collected by the Belle detector at KEKB. No candidate events have been found. Upper limits on the branching fractions are calculated at the 90% confidence level: B(B0\ensuremath→e+e^\ensuremath-)<1.9\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-7, B(B0\ensuremath→\ensuremathμ+\ensuremathμ^\ensuremath-)<1.6\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-7, and B(B0\ensuremath→e^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathμ^\ensuremath∓)<1.7\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-7. A limit on the Pati-Salam leptoquark mass MLQ>46TeV/c2 is obtained at the 90% confidence level.
