Abstract

We have investigated the exclusive, radiative B meson decays to K2*(1430) in 89\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi106 BB events with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring. We measure the branching fractions B(B0\ensuremath→K2*(1430)0\ensuremathγ)=(1.22\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.25\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.10)\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-5 and B(B+\ensuremath→K2*(1430)+\ensuremathγ)=(1.45\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.40\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.15)\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-5, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. In addition, we measure the CP-violating asymmetry ACP[B0\ensuremath→K2*(1430)0\ensuremathγ]=\ensuremath-0.08\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.15\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.01.
