Abstract

We report the results of a search for the rare baryonic decays B0\ensuremath→pp, \ensuremathΛ\ensuremathΛ, and B+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathΛ. The analysis is based on a data set of 31.7\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi106BB events collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e^\ensuremath- collider. No statistically significant signals are found, and we set branching fraction upper limits B(B0\ensuremath→pp)<1.2\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-6, B(B0\ensuremath→\ensuremathΛ\ensuremathΛ)<1.0\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-6, and B(B+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathΛ)<2.2\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-6 at the 90% confidence level.
