Abstract

The recent observation of the purely leptonic decay B^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathτ^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathν_\ensuremathτ at the B factories permits a sizable contribution from a charged Higgs boson (H^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi). Such a H^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi would also contribute to the decays Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathμ^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathν_\ensuremathμ and Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathτ^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathν_\ensuremathτ, which are being measured with increasing precision at CLEO-c. We show that the branching ratios of Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathμ^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathν_\ensuremathμ and Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathτ^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremathν_\ensuremathτ could be suppressed by up to 10% from the standard model prediction, which is larger than the anticipated precision in the measurements of these decays at forthcoming BES-III.
