Abstract

A metal-free protocol to synthesize 2-alkyl-3-fluoroalkanesulfonyl benzofurans and indoles from o -hydroxyphenyl/ o -aminophenyl propargyl alcohols and fluoroalkanesulfinyl chlorides (R F SOCl) was disclosed.
