The Memphis Public Libraries (MPL) worked to publicize the services, programs, and resources that they offer to the community. They expanded programming related to STEM topics. MPL collaborated with local and national organizations and customized branch community services. This article examines three major prongs of their initiative and shares their impacts, specifically the expansion of the Seed Library, the development of outdoor spaces and gardening initiatives, and the development of STEM-based programming. We hope that other public libraries may be able to draw on this case study to develop or augment their own offerings in sustainability, STEM, and science-based programming.
