Abstract

The camaenid genus Trishoplita Jacobi, Citation1898 is currently regarded as the junior synonym of Aegista Albers, Citation1850. Accordingly, the name of Trishoplita awajiensis Pilsbry, Citation1901 becomes a junior secondary homonym of Aegista awajiensis (Gude, Citation1900). Therefore the new replacement name Aegista awajiotome nom. nov. is proposed herein.
