The proposed work will help in detecting various toxic and dangerous chemical agents of chemical weapons (CWA) using an innovative biosensor design. The idea of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is proposed in the Kretschmann design. The proposed biosensor design includes a coupling prism of BK7, an Ag layer of silver, a graphene layer, and an overlay of cerium fluoride. For trace amounts of chemical agents within CWA molecules, this multilayer design is very efficient in enhancing specificity and detectability. The performance of the proposed biosensor design has been measured in terms of prime performance characteristics like sensitivity, accuracy of detection (DA), figure of merit (FoM), and error tolerance. The maximum value of [Formula: see text]/RIU and FoM of 133.92 RIU[Formula: see text] has been noticed. High specificity toward various interferers would be possible. This biosensor design holds a promising approach toward fast and accurate chemical danger surveillance.
