This qualitative study with an interpretive approach investigates the conceptual and structural interconnections between Isfahan School paintings and Safavid-period interior architecture. Using qualitative content analysis and MAXQDA coding techniques, the research synthesizes data from comprehensive archival study and systematic observation of artistic and architectural works. The results demonstrate that Safavid interior architecture was predominantly shaped by physical and structural elements, whereas contemporaneous paintings exerted direct influence through their aesthetic and symbolic dimensions; three key shared principles emerge: (1) compositional and spatial organization patterns, (2) a unified system of ornamentation and motifs, and (3) foundational cultural-symbolic frameworks. Beyond delineating this bidirectional influence, the study advances an analytical model for examining interdisciplinary dynamics in traditional Iranian arts.
