The concept of a green library is one of the cultural achievements in the field of environment and a sign of our new duty as librarians. In recent years, the nature’s critical state-of-the-art has caused many businesses and disciplines to take a step towards helping their business become green by examining the relationship between their jobs and the environment and the impact they can have on the nature. In general, green libraries can play a significant role in improving society’s environmental attitude and behavior by providing various information and services. In this paper, we focus on the different dimensions of green libraries, and highlight suggestions that can be used by librarians of Uzbekistan to transform their libraries from traditional institutes to the green and socially collaborative agents.
