Agroecology criteria are now an integral part of innovative initiatives within the oilseed sector. This article analyses the Lesieur Fleur de Colza (Lesieur Rapeseed Flower) initiative, now known as Lesieur Huiles Engagées (Lesieur Committed Oils). This case study is based on interviews and documentary sources. It reveals the ambition of a food oil producer committed to greater sustainability in the rapeseed sector to make the transition to agroecology. Contributors to this initiative, launched in , are committed to a shared set of specifications that have evolved over time, both in terms of content and the way that relationships between the partners involved are organised. The article describes this evolution and outlines the main agroecological concerns underlying the value chain: resilience (environmental and economic), responsible governance, knowledge sharing and co-creation.
