Heterocyclic compounds play an important part in medicinal chemistry. Different derivatives of heterocyclic compounds are useful for the various pharmacological activities. Up to till date lots of work has been completed in five member heterocyclic triazole derivatives. There are two isomer of triazole derivatives which are 1, 2, 3 and 1, 2, 4- triazole. Out of which 1, 2, 4-triazole derivatives posses a wide range of therapeutic activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, antitubercular, anticancer, anticonvulsant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant and antiviral activities etc. This review summarizes varies synthesis of triazole derivatives and their therapeutics importance in medicinal chemistry.
