This seminar-paper deals with nature conservation measures in the Reichsgau of Tyrol and Vorarlberg during the Nazi era. Using specific examples, it examines the extent to which the Reichsnaturschutzgesetz of 1935, which came in force in Austria in 1939, was adhered to, the problems that arose and to what extent the demands of the Second World War placed conservation measures in a secondary position.
