Abstract: The problem of the present work is how to fight against corruption and greed? The method of study adopted to dissect this problem consists in grouping the characters with characteristics favorable or unfavorable to the fight against corruption and greed. In the novel Lazarus' Children by Bakari Oumarou, Yanka and his friends fought against corruption and succeeded in transforming the world. The criteria of judgment established concomitantly are the position for or against corruption and the intention or the word of those who want greed to disappear from their close environment. The theme allows us to enumerate the evils that block the development in the work. We add to it the socio-criticism to interpret the intentions and the actions of the characters. The results of the research show that corruption is an obstacle to sustainable development in the work as in society. All sectors are affected. Greed complicates the situation of the poor. We deal with the determination of Yanka and his friends (the heirs of Lazarus) to fight against corruption and greed without forgetting the enemies of development.
