Abstract: This work defines corruption in Ogodo Ogbeche’s Harvest of Corruption under study as bribery, large-scale embezzlement in official quarters, drug trafficking and sexual immorality perpetuated by highly placed personalities who are supposed to be policymakers and law enforcement officers. The study shows that in the process of these illegal practices, some unprivileged people in the community pay the price they are not supposed to pay. Through the socio-criticism the study reveals that the chain of wickedness and the retribution are evil practices that need breaking for peace and harmony to reign.
