Abstract

In a Nutshell, platelets are small and anucleate, yet remarkably versatile cells that bridge the gap between haemostasis, thrombosis, inflammation and adaptive immunity. This expanded functional spectrum uncovers new opportunities for understanding and treating immune-mediated thrombocytopenia and other haematological diseases.
