The air tightness of 63 houses built by nine builders in the Ottawa area in 1978 and considered to be representative of current construction was measured using a method involving air pressure difference. The results are presented in three tables and six figures. Various factors affecting air tightness, including design details and quality of workmanship, are discussed.
