This study evaluated recently introduced french apricot cultivars (‘Congat’, ‘Carmingo® Faralia’, ‘Gilgat’, and ‘Jengat’) under Central European conditions, specifically in the orchards of the Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology Holovousy Ltd. during 2024–2025. The aim was to assess their phenological and pomological characteristics and compare them with well-established reference cultivars (‘Bergeron’, ‘Kioto®’, ‘Pinkcot™ Cotpy®’). The evaluation focused on tree growth parameters, health status, flowering and ripening time, and fruit traits including weight, skin coloration, and sensory attributes. While ‘Faralia’ demonstrated high fruit quality, ‘Congat’ exhibited lower consumer quality due to a tough skin and fibrous flesh. In the cultivars ‘Gilgat’ and ‘Jengat’, fruit thinning was found necessary because of uneven size and lower fruit weight. Differences were also observed in tree tolerance to apricot decline (apoplexy). The results provide valuable information for assessing the suitability of these cultivars for cultivation in the Czech Republic and may serve as practical guidance for growers.
