Utilization of soil-plants interaction for plant nutrition and health In order to develop a type of agriculture able to preserve environment and provide food and fiber to Humankind, soil plant interactions are a promising lever. Indeed, plants are able to alter the volume of soils at the vicinity of roots, the rhizosphere. Plants can directly modify directly soil processes or indirectly by establishing relationships with other soil organisms, which altogether affect plant nutrition and health. Knowledge transfer and its use in crop systems are effective but still challenging, because improvements in terms of plant breeding, biostimulants and cropping system design are still needed.
