Abstract

In this paper mathematical models of a conventional glass tank furnace from isotope measurements are developed. The model description is achieved with the partial or ordinary differential equations. At first, a two-dimensional partial differential equation model is formulated that describes the distribution of temperature, currents and the chemical glass composition in the glass tank furnace. Subsequently, two models of ordinary differential equations of the 9th and 11th order using the partial differential equation model calculated and a special two-stage modelling approach are established. One can apply these models for solving some control or stabilization tasks related to the glass composition.
