The lake of Aguelmam Azegza possesses important tourist potentialities and is regarded one of the most popular tourist sites by the majority of tourists. This site is distinguished by its amazing natural landscapes, including forests, mountains, gorges, geological and geomorphological riches, etc. In this respect, it benefits from integration into tourism planning policy and has been the subject of spatial changes related to tourism infrastructure designed to meet the expectations of tourists. Undeniably, the tourist planning constitutes an essential showcase to strengthen the site’s appeal. The main objective of this article is to analyze how the tourist planning of the Aguelmam Azegza site can contribute to the development of its attractiveness among tourists. In order to carry out this study effectively, a field survey was conducted using a pre-established questionnaire, which was submitted to 128 tourists. This method was further complemented by a series of interviews held with the heads of the relevant services and the resource persons. The findings show that the tourist planning plays a crucial role in attracting a significant number of national tourists, as well as a minority of foreign tourists.
