THE ROLE OF THE INVESTIGATIVE JUDGE IN THE NEW UZBEKISTAN’S JUDICIAL SYSTEM

Abstract

The article discusses the issue of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens through the judiciary on the basis of the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The introduction of the institution of investigative judges in Uzbekistan, the legal powers and responsibilities of investigative judges, as well as the experience of foreign countries on the procedure for applying sanctions in the form of imprisonment are analyzed.
