The design and operating technique of filter separators intended to give very low values in the cleaned gases are explained. Textile materials are used as the filter medium. Heat exchangers with automatic cleaning are used whereby care must be taken over the acid dew point. Α ball rotor is provided in front of the filter proper to agglomerate the very fine dust which is difficult to remove from the filter material. The possibilities for adding on units to remove harmful gaseous materials are treated in detail.
