This project permits to make an inventory of the environmental impact of livestock built today buildings, to set environmental objectives for barn in an eco-design and eco-management approach, to experiment and adapt 14 HQE targets in the design and production of livestock for each sector of livestock buildings. The partnership brought together technical institutes, organizations of ranching, construction, architecture and the environment. For different types of barn, the environmental impact is assessed. The results are available for the construction of the building-related energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The Charter "Eco-build a barn" is an innovation for the livestock. It allows to project, build, use an environmentally friendly building environment while taking into account the specific constraints related to the activity of breeding.
