L’article propose des activités pédagogiques déjà menées en classe de 1re pour faire comprendre la notion d’ekphrasis aux élèves, tout en les familiarisant avec la littérature antique. Elles mettent en jeu la création d’images, par les élèves, à partir d’une ekphrasis du roman d’Achille Tatius Leucippé et Clitophon relative au mythe de Persée et Andromède, et réciproquement l’approche du même mythe à partir d’une fresque trouvée dans une villa près de Naples de la fin du Ier s. av. J.-C. Pouvoirs de la parole et pouvoirs des images matérielles sont ainsi confrontés, autour d’images nées du discours, d’une image fixe, et dans un dernier temps, d’images mobiles. The paper proposes teaching activities already carried out in 1st grade to help students understand the notion of ekphrasis, while at the same time familiarizing them with ancient literature. They involve students creating images from an ekphrasis of the myth of Perseus and Andromeda in the novel by Achilles Tatius Leucippé and Clitophon, and conversely approaching the same myth from a fresco found in a villa near Naples dating from the end of the 1st century BC. The powers of speech and the powers of material images are thus confronted, around images born of discourse, a fixed image and, finally, moving images.
