The current development of such a type of object as a cultural and educational center needs important to study the existing typology of identical or similar objects, identify, compare and analyze their key functional and typological characteristics. The article researches specific types of objects that meet the functions of the cultural and educational center partially or completely, and identifies their main typological characteristics. Examples in world’s design of some considered types of objects are given here, as well as some examples of these types in Donbass’ territory. Based on the analysis of the considered types and their characteristics, the authors formulated typological aspects of the formation and development of the architecture of the cultural and educational center. In the future, the obtained results of the work presented in the article are planned to be used in the dissertation research in order to improve, develop the formulated typological aspects and form clear principles and methods of typological organization of the cultural and educational center.
