Although discussions regarding the concept of cancer survivors have been ongoing for several years, there is still controversy surrounding its use. Understanding the unique challenges faced by childhood cancer survivors and their families during different seasons of survival is crucial for implementing holistic care to their individual needs. Therefore, it is essential to examine the existing evidence in the nursing field to identify gaps in knowledge, research trends, and areas that require further investigation. In light of this, the research question for this study is: What is known in the nursing field about childhood cancer survivors' extended and long-term survivorship? To address this research question, a scoping review is deemed appropriate as it allows for mapping key concepts within a specific research area. Additionally, adding a bibliometric analysis allows for analyzing a massive amount of data and obtaining a complete view of the publications. Given the complexity of childhood cancer survival, which has not been comprehensively reviewed before, this study aims to identify and bibliometric analyze the evidence in the nursing field about childhood cancer survivors' extended and long-term survivorship.
