Abstract

Based on (2.712±0.014)×109 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, the decays χcJ → p p K0S K0S (J=0,1,2) are observed for the first time with statistical significances exceeding 5σ.The measured branching fractions are B(χc0→ p p K0S K0S)=(6.94±0.30±0.38)×10-5, B(χc1→ p p K0S K0S)=(1.30±0.12±0.08)×10-5, and B(χc2→ p p K0S K0S)=(2.54±0.17±0.15)×10-5, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. In addition, no significant structures are observed in the p p, p K0S, and p K0S mass spectra.
