Buddhism is one of the oldest religions in the world, dating back to the 5th century BCE. Its spread across Asia was enormous, and Pakistan was no exception. Pakistan was once home to some of the most important Buddhist sites in the world, including Taxila, a renowned center for Buddhist learning. Over the centuries, Buddhism faded away in Pakistan due to various reasons, including the invasion of the area by Muslim rulers. However, in recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in Buddhism in the country,with many Pakistanis rediscovering the teachings of Buddha and the peacefulness that comes with them. In this article, we will explore the history of Buddhism in Pakistan, the reasons for its decline, and the recent revival of this ancient religion.
