Abstract

A large number of medicinal plants are used for the curative and preventive treatment of many diseases. In this article, we are interested in the study of the biological properties of Algerian medicinal thyme compounds using in-silico approaches. We applied online servers to evaluate the physicochemical, pharmacokinetic properties, and bioactivity of chemical compounds in the Algerian thyme plant. The SwissADME server results demonstrated normal physicochemical properties and a good pharmacokinetic profile. The SuperPred server showed the main biological targets and drug classifications. Results confirm that the thyme plant has antiseptic, disinfectant, and anti-inflammatory pharmacological properties, and it could be used in COVID-19 treatment as well as many other infections
